Britain's Next Urban Superstar audition studio

Previously called, Best Unsigned Act. Britain’s Next Urban Superstar was launched as a nationwide talent search way before XFactor, American Idol, etc in 2003 in conjunction with the Urban Music Awards. The talent search saw the Urban Music Awards CEO/Founder, Jordan Kensington alongside judges from BBC Radio 1 and Invincible Magazine travel throughout over 22 cities picking the best artists within the genre of (HipHop, R&B, Soul and Dance) to compete in the semi-finals in London and the overall winner to be announced at the annual Urban Music Awards. Over , 15,000 applicants apply each year. Past winners have included; Dizzee Rascal, Tinchy Stryder, Leona Lewis and many more.
One of the biggest winners of the show was Britain’s most successful boyband, JLS who won in 2007 and toured throughout 22 cities gaining a new fanbase an an award at the Urban Music Awards in this Unsigned act category prior to getting signed. In 2008, the format was produced by Invincible TV productions for Sky digital channel, Flava TV. The Britain’s Next Urban Superstar weekly show attracted millions of viewers and was one of the most watched shows on the station.
